Well, looks like things will get interesting in the next 24 hours.
Leaving the hut at 4 P last night there was 8″ new, 10-12″ total now, so told.
If forecasts ring true, tonight and tomorrow should produce enough to cause some settlement, if not failure. The warm temps have helped settle things some, but not enough.

Negative 22, to high thirties within one week, what a crazy January !! Lots of fun skiin’ still gettin’ done around the hut. Tip toeing through the TG. Be careful out there and pick your lines wisely, Definitely some lurkin’ wind slabs.

These folks drove from Chicago straight to the OPUS, post holed to the hut with Alpine gear on their backs. Never skied before, Four days later their linkin’ ’em in powder, and skiin’ home !
